How hard do you press this?

The throttle  pedal
Its a direct connection your engine,how hard you press it   depends on  power of the engine  what gear etc.
If all is well with your engine then  you  can  avoid  pressing it to hard.If your engine  is running badly and not delivering the powr it should then you  will press  it a lot harder.
The wider the throttle  the  more fuel  and air are drawn in  and the more fuel you  use
If your engines state of tune is out   say a leaky injector is messing up  fuel   ratio in one cylinder, then power will  nose dive  causing you to  mash the throttle further into the mat
Engine running faults always   kill power  either gradually or suddenly hence you adapt to them  up until the point where the  problem  starts causing you grieve  ie  it  wont  climb hills or the fuel consumption  as  climbed into   silly  figures

We  do stumble across   part swappers   while on our travels
Just such an example  was the other day  while on a quick trip to the  coast stopping off  at a little garage for fuel and food.
I couldn't help notice the little workshop that curiosity get  the better of me.
Buried with in was  a  guy busy  with new parts declaring "its cost the customer £300 so far and they aren't happy"
I bet they aren't happy, bloody ridiculous  how they get away with it.
A  chat  quickly revealed his knowledge of  live data  and oscilloscopes was  dire.To  me poor coil  performance  was the culprit  a quick secondary  scope analysis would have thrown a  lot of light on it 
We just  left the guy to get on with it,after he  declared it was time to take the head off  and  check the valves ouch

getting your keys stuck

Worn ignition barrels  have a nasty surprise up their sleeves.
Without warning they can suddenly   stick  stranding  your  in the ignition in the  barrel  with  the steering lock on  not a good situation
There is nothing sophisticated about the  ignition simply a key operated switch that  turns  on most of the  cars systems  etc.

It doesnt come on often

THe abs   warning light,as yours  appeared after the recent snow?
Ice smacking the wheel sensors  always  crops  up in  our  diagnostics.

Well the  snow  dissapered as quickly as it came
One minute causing  grief  and showing up people  none existant driving skills.
